أطلق رسميًا الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم (كاف) من خلال رئيس الاتحاد، باتريس موتسيبي، بطولة دوري السوبر الإفريقي، لتُصبح أحدث المسابقات التي سيتمّ تنظيمها في القارة السمراء تحت مظلّة كاف.

وتم الإعلان عن إطلاق المسابقة الجديدة من خلال مؤتمر صحفي عقده رئيس كاف الجنوب إفريقي باتريس موتسيبي وتواجد فيه أيضًا رئيس فيفا جاني إنفانتينو على هامش الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم التي أقيمت في مدينة أروشا التنزانية.

وتأتي هذه الخطوة بعد أن لاقى مشروع دوري السوبر فشلاً ذريعًا في أوروبا إلا أنّ دعم الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم كان علامة فارقة بين المشروعين.

وكان أول من نادى بإقامة دوري السوبر الإفريقي كان إنفانتينو، وذلك بعد فترة قصيرة من انهيار مشروع بطولة دوري السوبر الأوروبي.

وفي نوفمبر 2019، كان إنفانتينو في زيارة للكونغو لحضور احتفالية مرور 80 عامًا على تأسيس نادي مازيمبي، وحينها طالب رئيس “فيفا” بإطلاق البطولة.

وبعد إطلاق المسابقة رسميًا، يبقى السؤال ما هو نظام اللعب في البطولة ومتى تبدأ؟، وهو نُجيب عليه في السطور التالية… نظام دوري السوبر الإفريقي

وفقا لـ كاف فإن هناك 24 فريقًا تتنافس على لقب أول نسخة، وسيتم تقسيم الأندية المشاركة في البطولة على 3 مجموعات حسب المناطق الجغرافية.

وبجانب الاعتماد على نظام التوزيع الجغرافي، فالـ 24 ناديًا المشاركين سيكونون من أصحاب التصنيف الأعلى في معايير الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم.

وسيكون ذلك بناء على نتائج آخر خمس سنوات في بطولات مسابقات إفريقيا للأندية، وسيتم تقسيم الأندية المشاركة في البطولة على 3 مجموعات حسب المناطق الجغرافية.

المجموعة الأولى ستكون خاصة بأندية شمال إفريقيا، وستضم ثمانية أندية تلعب فيما بينها بنظام الدوري من دورين، أي بإجمالي 14 مباراة.

وينطبق الأمر نفسه وعدد المباريات على مجموعة غرب ووسط إفريقيا، وأخيرًا منطقة شرق وجنوب إفريقيا.

وتتأهل الأندية صاحبة المراكز الخمسة الأولى في كل دوري إلى دور الستة عشر، بإجمالي 15 ناديًا، بالإضافة إلى أفضل فريق صاحب مركز سادس في الثلاث مجموعات.

وستلعب الأندية صاحبة المركز السابع في المجموعات الثلاث والفريقين صاحبي المركز السادس، سيخوضان مباريات فاصلة وحاسمة في دوري من دور واحد للبقاء في دوري السوبر الإفريقي للموسم التالي، بينما ستصعد أفضل فرق من المسابقة الأخرى المسماة بكأس الكاف إلى النسخة التالية من دوري السوبر.

وتم الاتفاق على هبوط أصحاب المركز الثامن والأخير في كل دوري بكل مجموعة إلى كأس “الكاف” في العام التالي.

وبعد تحديد فرق الدور ثمن النهائي، تقام المباريات بنظام خروج المغلوب من مباراتي ذهاب وإياب حيث ستخوض مواجهات بنظام القرعة الموجهة بحيث لا يواجه فريق منافس له من نفس المنطقة الجغرافية.

ثم تقام مباريات ربع النهائي ثم نصف النهائي أيضًا بنظام الذهاب والإياب، بينما النهائي سيُقام من مباراة واحدة وصفها كاف في فيديو تقديم البطولة بـ “سوبر بول إفريقيا”.

موعد انطلاق دوري السوبر الإفريقي

البطولة سوف تبدأ موسم 2023-2024، على أن تُقام على مدار 10 أشهر ما بين أغسطس 2023 ومايو 2024.

ستدرّ البطولة الجديدة عائدات مالية كبيرة تساهم في إضافة مزيد من التنافسية على الكرة الإفريقية وزيادة موارد الأندية المشاركة.

وستبلغ ميزانية المسابقة الجديدة 200 مليون دولار، وسيتم تقسيم نصفها بين 24 ناديًا مشاركًا، مع ضمان حصول كل اتحاد على مليون دولار، والجوائز ستكون قيمتها 100 مليون دولار، على أن يحصل الفريق المتوج بأول ألقاب البطولة على 11.5 مليون دولار.

The Verdict: Risky

Barkley has outstanding natural ability – he has ‘magic’, according to Clinton Morrison – but he has never reached his potential as a player, enjoying promising runs of form but ultimately never making the grade at Chelsea.

He could be a superb signing for Leeds, bringing drive and unpredictability in midfield areas, but Bielsa would have a tough job getting consistently strong performances out of him if his recent form is anything to go by.

Given the price the Blues would likely want for what is an English talent entering his prime at 27, we believe this is one the Whites should avoid.

After winning the Carabao Cup four times in a row, Manchester City were knocked out of the competition last night against fellow Premier League side West Ham United.

Pep Guardiola’s side lost on penalties at The London Stadium after drawing 0-0 after 90 minutes, making it a disappointing night for the Manchester club.

However, there was one player that featured for City in midweek that we feel was a shining light for Citizens – Ilkay Gundogan.

The midfielder managed to have 91 touches of the ball, racked up a passing accuracy percentage of 95%, made five key passes, created one big chance, had two shots at goal, won four of the six ground duels he was involved in.

He also successfully completed the two dribble attempts he made, ultimately earning himself an overall match rating of 7.9, making him the highest-rated City player on the day, according to SofaScore.

This shows that despite the disappointing result, Gundogan, who is currently earning a weekly wage of £140k-per-week according to Spotrac, was a big positive for Guardiola on the day.

City signed Gundogan back in the 2016 summer transfer window from German club Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth a reported fee of £20m.

Since then, the 31-year-old, who is currently valued at £36m according to Transfermarkt, has made 220 appearances for the Manchester club across all competitions in which he has managed to score 41 goals and provide 28 assists in the process.

So far this season, the German has made 10 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist. In addition to this, Gundogan has managed to rack up an average of 2.3 shots per game and 2.3 key passes per game in the Premier League in this campaign, proving how much of an attacking threat he is for the side, despite not being able to help City break the deadlock in midweek.

Moving forward, with City’s next match seeing them take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, we feel that Gundogan’s performance in midweek has certainly put him in contention to start this game against Patrick Vieira’s side.

The pair were reported by the on-field umpires Niels Bagh and Paul Baldwin and third umpire Richard Smith and found guilty of “using language that is obscene, offensive or insulting” during the match between the two sides on May 19.David Jukes, the match referee, said: “Both players failed to meet the prescribed standard of behaviour which was set out in the pre-tournament captains meeting. Having both recognised their shortcomings in this respect by pleading guilty and apologising they have each received an official reprimand and have been warned of their future conduct.”Both Rocca and Sajjad pleaded guilty to the charge and apologised to each other for their actions.
