Morreu nesta segunda-feira Coutinho,ídolo do Santos que fez história com a camisa Alvinegra. O ex-atacante tinha 75 anos e faleceu em sua casa, devido a um infarto agudo do miocárdio.O velório do craque santista será na Vila Belmiro.

O perfil oficial do Santos no Twitter lamentou a perda de seu grande ídolo com os dizeres ‘A pequena área perdeu um dos seus professores’. Foram dez anos defendendo a camisa santista e mais de 300 gols marcados pelo time praiano. Ele também defendeu a Seleção Brasileira, conquistando o título da Copa do Mundo de 1962 no Chile.

Coutinho sofria de diabetes, doença que levou à amputação de três dedos de seu pé esquerdo, e em janeiro deste ano foi internado em Santos com quadro de pneumonia.

Antônio Wilson Vieira Honório nasceu em 11de junho de 1943, na cidade de Piracicaba (SP). Com apenas 14 anos, o atacante fez sua estreia profissional pelo Santos, em 1958. Ele permaneceu no Peixe até 1968, e depois retornou para mais uma passagem em 1970.

Entre seus principais título pelo Santos estão seis Campeonato Paulistas, cinco títulos da Taça Brasil, além de duas LIbertadores da América e dois Mundiais Interclubes.

Coutinho é o terceiro maior artilheiro da história do Santos, com 368 gols marcados em 457 jogos, atrás apenas de Pepe, com 403 gols, e Pelé, com 1.091 gols. Ele fez parte do lendário ataque formado porDorval, Mengálvio, Coutinho, Pelé e Pepe. O artilheiro era considerado omelhor parceiro que Pelé já teve.

Com a Seleção Brasileira, fez 15 jogos e marcou seis gols, entre os anos de 1960 e 1965. Ele defendeu ainda as camisas deVitória, Portuguesa,Club Atlas,Bangu e encerrou a carreira peloSaad, em 1973. Mengálvio, um dos parceiros de Coutinho no ataque do Santos, também prestou sua homenagem.

The West Indies Cricket Board finalised a three-year plan to increase retainer fees for women’s players and also approved the membership of the West Indies Retired Players Foundation (WIRPF). The decisions were taken at the WICB’s board meeting held in Guyana on July 13.The WICB plans to increase retainer fees for women players by 100% over the next three years, starting with a 40% increase in 2013-14, followed by a 30% hike over the next two years. The board also approved a recommendation that makes it mandatory for all territories to establish women’s cricket leagues a year before they participate in regional tournaments.The WIRPF, a joint initiative between the WICB and the West Indies Players Association (WIPA), seeks to involve former players to help the game at the regional level. Former West Indies players, Wavell Hinds and Nixon McLean will represent WIPA in the foundation along with WICB-appointed members, Delano Franklyn and Nigel Camacho. The foundation will be headed by Brian George, president and CEO of Supreme Ventures Ltd, Jamaica.Hinds, who is also the president of the WIPA, said that the creation of the foundation was an important moment in West Indies cricket.”Michael Hall (the CEO) and I, along with the other members of WIPA’s new executive are very excited about the formation of the WIRPF,” Hinds said. “It’s not just for the direct benefits it brings to those who have served the game and the region, but also because it represents another collaborative effort between the WICB and WIPA.””The skills and services of our retired players have not been utilised in a manner befitting their stature and the situation needed to be improved,” WICB president Whycliffe Cameron said. “Our former players have international reputations for success and achievement and we must now, in a formal and structured way, undertake the necessary work to utilize their expertise to help to improve and redevelop West Indies Cricket.”

وقال مارتينيز في تصريحات نشرها حساب منتخب الأرجنتين الرسمي عبر “تويتر”: “لقد كانت مباراة صعبة للغاية، لقد ضغطوا على بعضهم البعض، لكننا واجهناها بشكل جيد”.

تأكدت جاهزية ثلاثي فريق الكرة الأول بالنادي الأهلي محمد الشناوي وعلي لطفي وحمدي فتحي لمباراة الوداد المغربي المقبل.

ويستعد الأهلي لمواجهة الوداد على ملعب استاد القاهرة الدولي يوم الأحد المقبل في نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

وجاء تأكد جاهزية الثلاثي وتعافيهم من إصاباتهم بعد مشاركتهم جميعًا بشكل طبيعي في مران اليوم الثلاثاء الجماعي.

ومن المقرر أن يواجه الأهلي نظيره الوداد في موقعة الإياب للدور النهائي، في الحادي عشر من يونيو المقبل على ملعب مركب محمد الخامس.

خطفت ثريا محمد لاعبة منتخب مصر لكرة السلة 3×3، الأنظار من خلال تقديم عروض رائعة في كأس العالم المقام في النمسا في الصيف الجاري لاسيما وأنها باتت خير مثال للاعبة المصرية في المحافل العالمية والدولية.

وحظت ثريا محمد لاعبة النادي الأهلي والتي ترتدي الحجاب، الكثير من الإشادة من قبل الصحف العالمية حيث كتبت صحيفة “ريفيلو” الإسبانية الشهيرة أن ثريا الملقبة بـ”كليوباترا” في مصر لم يمنعها الحجاب عن تقديم عروض رائعة في مباريات كأس العالم لكرة السلة 3×3 وذلك في الظهور الأول لمنتخب مصر للسيدات في البطولة عبر تاريخه.

وذكرت الصحيفة: “بطولة كأس العالم لكرة السلة 3×3 تقام حاليًا في النمسا حيث خطف الكثير من النجوم الأنظار أمثال جيمي فريديت ولاتيتا جاوبوا وساندرا يوجريفيدي لكن هناك نجمة أخرى قادمة من مصر نالت الكثير من المديح وهي ثريا محمد”.

وتابع التقرير: “تتميز ثريا بقدرة على الاختراق وتحكم رائع بالكرة بجانب تمريرات سحرية رائعة، ثريا عكس جميع لاعبات البطولة ظهرت ترتدي الحجاب لتغطية الرأس لكونها مسلمة”.

ونقلت الصحيفة تصريحات ثريا محمد بقولها: “أشعر بالراحة مع ارتداء الحجازب والملابس الواسعة الطويلة، لا أراها من منظور الآخرين، الذين ينظرون إلي ويقولون: مرحبًا، تلك الفتاة تلعب بالحجاب، بل أرى أنني أكون في الملعب فريدة من نوعي”.

وتابعت ثريا محمد حديثها: “في مصر معظم اللاعبات ترتدي الحجاب، لذلك ليس غريباً، أنا لا أفعل شيئاً مختلفاً، أنا فخورة بنفسي، لكوني مسلمة وأرتدي الحجاب، أنا فريدة من نوعي أمام كل هؤلاء اللاعبات”.

وعن مناداتها في مصر بلقب كليوباترا قالت لاعبة نادي الصيد السابقة: “كليوباترا هي أهم شيء في مصر، إنها الملكة، أن يناديني الاتحاد الدولي لكرة السلة والعالم بأسره كليوباترا يجعلني أشعر بالفخر، أريد أن أكون قدوة للأجيال القادمة وعندما أتوقف عن اللعب أريد أن أكون مدربة”.

يذكر أن ثريا محمد، من مواليد 1995، بدأت مشوارها في كرة السلة في صفوف نادي الصيد بعمر 8 سنوات ووقعت للنادي الأهلي عام 2018 وساهمت في تحقيق الفريق في موسم 2022-2023 خمسة ألقاب بالجمع بين لقب دوري المرتبط وكأس السوبر المصري وكأس مصر ومنطقة القاهرة والدوري المصري.

ثريا محمد ساهمت كذلك في تأهل منتخب مصر للمشاركة في كأس إفريقيا لكرة السلة وذلك بقيادة مدرب منتخب الفراعنة الكابتن إيهاب الألفي.

أكد يورجن كلوب المدير الفني لفريق كرة القدم الأول بنادي ليفربول، على أن الصيف المقبل سيكون مزدحمًا، في إشارة إلى سوق الانتقالات للريدز.

ليفربول حل في المركز الخامس بالدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، الذي انتهى اليوم بجولته الأخيرة، وأسدل الستار على موسم الريدز دون تحقيق ألقاب.

وقال كلوب في المؤتمر الصحفي بعد المباراة: “آمل أن تبدأ فترة مزدحمة حقًا في الصيف، سنرى ما سيحدث”.

وواصل: “كانت هناك أوقات في الموسم استمتعنا بها، ولحظات أخرى تشعر فيها أن الموسم امتد لـ4 سنوات، الانتصارات على مانشستر يونايتد ورينجرز والمباريات التي سجلنا فيها العديد من الأهداف، كانت لحظات جيدة للغاية”.

وشدد: “سنعود من جديد، نريد أن نتحسن، وأن نصبح الفريق الذي لا يريد أحد أن يواجهه، لقد كنا كذلك، ونريد أن نعود هكذا”.

واختتم: “أنا المسؤول بالكامل عن الذي حدث، نشعر بخيبة أمل كبيرة لكن هناك لحظات يجب فيها أن نعترف بأننا لم نكن نستحق التأهل، علينا أن نقتنع بذلك، ومن ثم نبدأ الاستعداد للموسم المقبل”.

Tarjinder Singh, who scored a crucial 49, and seamer Pritam Das, who took three wickets, were the other main contributors to the landmark win.Kerala’s innings was built on two productive partnerships, 79 between VA Jagadeesh and Rohan Prem, and 72 for the sixth wicket between Jagadeesh and Gomez. Jagadeesh eventually scored 89, and Gomez scored a half-century, but for the most part, Assam’s bowlers kept chipping away at Kerala. After Sharma created the opening by taking early wickets, Das helped wrap up the tail. Seven batsmen scored in single digits.In reply, Assam were in early trouble, having been reduced to 28 for 3 in the eighth over by seamers Prasanth Parameswaran and Sandeep Warrier. Manoj Tiwary and Laxmi Shukla attempted to stabilise the innings, putting on a 73-run stand for the fifth wicket. However, once Shukla was dismissed, Bengal were only able to add a further 51 runs as Delhi wrapped up the tail, to bowl them out in he 41st over. Tiwary top-scored with 87, while Delhi’s Varun Sood picked up 3 for 48.Despite losing opener Dhruv Shorey with the score at 16, Delhi strung together regular partnerships. Gautam Gambhir top-scored with 69 as he guided Delhi towards the 157-run target, and got the support of Unmukt Chand (22) and Rajat Bhatia (28).
